Where are my contacts stored?

In Apple Contacts on your Mac and in the accounts it syncs with (iCloud, Google, Exchange). NestContacts keeps its own tags and settings in a database on your Mac. Nothing goes to our servers — we don’t have any.

Will NestContacts change my contacts?

Only when you change something in NestContacts, for example merge duplicates or edit a card. The first sync is shown to you before it runs, and a full backup of Apple Contacts is saved before anything is deleted. Deleted cards go to Trash in NestContacts first, where you can restore them.

The app can’t see my contacts.

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts and turn NestContacts on. For notes, also allow it under Automation → Contacts.

How do I remove it?

Delete the app. Your contacts in Apple Contacts and your accounts stay as they are.
