NestContacts

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

NestContacts is a contacts app for the Mac, made by Sergey Nesmachny (“we”). In short: your contacts stay on your Mac. We have no servers, no user accounts and no analytics, and we never receive, see or sell your data.

What the app works with

Telegram (optional)

If you connect Telegram, NestContacts signs in to your Telegram account directly from your Mac using Telegram’s official library and talks only to Telegram’s servers. It reads your Telegram contact list and profile photos to mark who is on Telegram and to fill in missing photos. It never sends messages or changes anything in Telegram. The Telegram session is stored on your Mac; disconnecting signs it out. Telegram’s own Privacy Policy applies to your Telegram account.

Other apps and links

Buttons such as Message, Call, Mail, WhatsApp or Telegram open the corresponding app or website on your Mac. What you do there is covered by that app’s own privacy policy.

What we collect

Nothing. The app contains no tracking, advertising or analytics code and does not contact any server run by us. If you take part in the TestFlight beta, Apple may share crash reports and feedback you choose to send with us, as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its database and backups. Contacts in Apple Contacts and your synced accounts stay, as they belong to you, not to the app.

Children

NestContacts is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
